Hourman tries normal strength as his hour of time would be on the clock and for lifting someone could be a waste

Hour-Man was able to give the Sandman enough lift that he was able to run up the wall the short distance he needed to reach the chain ((Sandman burns a stunt to make sure he doesn't miss the chain)).
Climbing the chain, the Sandman briefly disappeared into the dark chamber above.
Two long, dramatic minutes passed. Then, at least, the chain started to descend the shaft until it was within reach of everyone. Doris and Hawkgirl were both first to reach for it, grabbing it at the same time.
((Do you let one or both of them go up before you?))

Hourman volunteers to go up first to give some cover to Sandman so he can pull the next person up or to anchor the chain himself and let Sandman provide the cover

Hour-Man muscled in ahead of the ladies and started up the chain. It wasn't as easy to climb as Sandman made it look, but Hour-Man managed to make it up.
Hawkgirl tried to come up next. She climbed 10', had trouble, and Sandman pulled her up most of the next 10'. Then she made the mistake of thinking she could adjust her hold on the chain, lost her grip -- and fell.
She survived the fall, but her leg was moderately hurt and she would be limping from here.
"Just our luck, all bad..." Bart muttered.
It was decided to take no more chances; the chain would be wrapped gently around a person and hauled the entire way up. In this way Hawkgirl was brought up next.
Leaving Bart and Doris alone to face whatever was showing up down below...
((to be continued!))

Hourman asks if Sandman has a first aid kit for Hawkgirl. Then he realizes he has 50ft of rope in his backpack and ties it off and lowers it down for additional support. Maybe sandman can lift Doris and Hourman can assist bart

"Sorry, I didn't think to bring a splint for a leg..." Sandman said.
Hour-Man was pulling his backpack off when he heard Doris from below.
"It's okay! It's more snake men."
"Checking on us," Bart added.
Using a combination of rope and chain, they were able to get Doris up and were about to haul up Bart when Hawkgirl said: "Wait - what's that noise?"
That was when four rat-men burst into this chamber, from the north doorway ((they are 15' and closing, practically melee range already)).
((This time - combat intentions!))

Hour-man comments, " get Bart up we will have to provide the defense." Recognizing that this is not the final battle yet especially with his hour of power, he will fight normally this time. If there are any loose chain which can be used as a club he will use this as a weapon or he will use his knife

The Sandman and Doris West joined Hour-Man on the offensive, while Hawkgirl helped Bart up.
There were still chains about, so Hour-Man picked up one. It might even have been the same one as last time!
Sandman and Doris went in pistol whipping and were very successful, Sandman seriously injuring one of the rat-men and Doris knocking one unconscious!
The remaining two held a net between them and caught up Hour-Man in it just as he was swinging the chain, unsuccessfully, at them. The rat-men were also making loud screaming noises.
((Is Hour-Man trying to escape the net at normal strength?))

Hour-man will try to escape with normal strength in hopes his friends will take care of the other two

Realizing they were outnumbered, the two remaining rat men dropped the clubs they were about to beat Hour-Man with and managed to flee out of melee. The Sandman chased after them to the north exit, while Doris helped Hour-Man out of the net.

Hourman thanks Doris for the assistance and comments, " we better get moving as I am sure they will come back with reinforcements. The man with the weird outfit that blended in the shadows was down the west exit or we could chase the rats to the north."

"It looks like Sandman wants to follow the rats and silence them before they raise reinforcements," Doris replied. "Or maybe he's chasing them away to give us a clear shot at the west exit? I'm not sure now...which way do you want to go now?"

Hour-man says, " yes lets make sure Sandman is all right. Whomever is last to move protect our rear." Hourman heads north to find Sandman

Hour-Man and Doris West followed right away, with Bart Regan and Hawkgirl trailing up to 60' behind.
The north exit led into a passageway heading straight north. 30' later, they were in a four-way intersection.
To the north, the passage went 20', then zig-zagged 10' over to the east before continuing north.
To the east, the passage went 30' to a dead end.
To the west, the passage went 50', to where it went both straight and turned north. Before that, there were opposing doors to the north and south. The Sandman could be seen ducking into the doorway to the south, while the north door was closed.
Luckily, the Sandman had chased the two rat-men into a corner; there appeared to be no ways out of the room the south door opened onto. The south room was 35' wide and 20' long, with a 10' high ceiling. It was wired for electricity with two hanging ceiling lights, but neither was on. The Sandman was trying to find the light switch by the light of a cigarette lighter until Hour-Man and Doris' flashlights swept the room.
It was a trophy room full of unusual trophies. There was a bearskin rug on the floor, a moose head and a ram head mounted on the walls, and a shelf of stuffed birds. There were two swords crossed behind a shield mounted on a wall. And there was also a lizard skin - like someone had skinned a Komodo Dragon - hanging on a wall. Wherever the walls weren't taken up with trophies, tapestries hung to the floor. There were fossils displayed in cases down the middle of the room.
There was either a secret exit the rat-men had already used, or they were hiding somewhere in the room.

Hourman looks around and wonders if this is where he met the shadow man. He walks over to the komodo dragon to see if there were rat men hiding or if there were a secret escape passage. As he heads over he does see if the swords were just moved like switches or any ratmen tracks that ran through the rug on the floor. He does asks, " lets find out if there is a secret exit"
(checking for clues)
