Since this campaign is not supposed to emulate DC Comics exactly, we need to determine if other heroes like Superman and Batman already exist here. I'll roll randomly...
No Superman. Yes Batman. This could mean Hour-Man is the first superhero.
Any other 1940-era heroes you want me to check for?
Note: if anyone volunteers to join the campaign and wants to play Superman, then he'll debut.

>(OOC is this is a private owned factory or military complex since this is WW2?)
Also a reminder: this is April 1940. The U.S. is currently building up their military, just in case, but won't be in the war for another 20 months. This is a privately owned aircraft factory.

So how about Jay garrick, Al pratt (atom), The spirit, blue beetle and johnny thunder, phantom reporter
Question so in some references I have seen Hour-man powers go for 90 minutes in extreme cases. I know the old TSR marvel rules would require me for a power stunt. Is this something he could work on by focusing with the amulet of time?

The Flash - yes! It's too soon for the Atom and the Spirit. I will give you half-random percentage chances of non-DC characters, so no Blue Beetle (but it was close!). Johnny Thunder - yes. The Phantom Reporter - yes!

true, anyway I have put the leads on the heroes you listed. I was thinking the green hornet too but not sure how he fits in with this as you primarily use marvel and Dc.

This wasn't a Marvel campaign either, but you made it one when you requested the Phantom Reporter and the dice agreed. If Green Hornet made the cut he would have four years of experience...

Okay, let's parse this out: >Hour-man was in the city for his civilian job, meeting with a laboratory, so he would be staying at a hotel.
Not too many opportunities for this in rural West Virginia! He could have been 169 miles away in Morgantown, WV, at the University of West Virginia, when he heard about the Justice Society being in West Virginia.
>If he was not doing heroics he would be driving home in the morning. So he would go back to the hotel, check out and head back to the farm
Home, for Hour-Man, is where? New York City? I don't think he wants to drive over 500 miles to get home; it would essentially take him out of this adventure. Even his hotel is pretty far, about a three hours drive away.

>so security has not reported any strange events in the caves? Also can we have access to go look?
The caves were underneath the pit, where Hawkman and Sandy Kean died. If you'll recall, there were four tunnels from that cave.

Fictional cities? I hate shoehorning fictional cities into a real world setting, but I seem to have just now noticed for the first time that Darren has name-dropped Hour-Man's Appleton City as a New York City analogue, instead of Appleton, New York, the farming village in upstate New York that I had originally assumed he meant.
So which fictitious DC cities are going to make the cut? Like with heroes, I've rolled randomly for the ones name dropped in the comics by April 1940 and determined: Appleton City - yes Metropolis - yes
New York City is now gone -- there's no place for a real NYC with two NYC analogues in the same area.

lol amazing how Hour-man suddenly becomes the spokesperson, when they usually vote on a plan.
