You know there's another way to play... We tried Play-by-post, and by Skype. Sadly, it didn't suit us, and didn't do very much for our conflicting schedules. We're working on it though...

sorry for the delay viewers, been busy with job finding and finding a new day job, plus the holiday affairs and working on my school certification program kept me busy, but will respond more frequently

I hope I've dropped enough clues that Darren thinks of something...

This is April 1940 and the USO won't incorporate until February 1941.

In terms of buffing power durations: Get Tough is essentially over; it will last through the rest of this exploration turn, but ends the moment you switch to combat turns or your next exploration turn. You still have 3-4 more turns of Race the Train being active.

Just a head's up that, so far, this group of heroes is known as "The Justice Society," but not "The Justice Society of America."

FYI just an aside I have been watching the CW show Stargirl and I know this may seem to modern the "shade is an interesting villain". The show can be a little campy but they are talking crossover

You can thank James Robinson and his work on the Starman series-The Shade was pretty much a two-dimensional crook with a gimmick before Robinson got hold of him. Afterwards, he was an amazing three-dimensional Anti-hero with a mystic backstory, a gentleman thief who enjoyed 'sparring' with superheroes for the fun of it-and who secretly saved the lives of at least two of them...Robinson also gave us Jack Knight, the most unconventional Starman ever, made Continuity his servant and gave Courtney the 'Retro-staff' version of the Cosmic Rod she uses(handed down from Jack Knight)...made Ragdoll dangerous again, etc etc ad nauseum. A great series if you have the time.
I gave up Television back when they moved to HD so i'm not following many shows-but the writers of Stargirl could do worse than pattern their Shade after the Robinson one!

I got to watch the first episode of Stargirl. I would watch more if the Mrs. would relinquish control of the TV...
I have never been a fan of Robinson's handling of superheroes; he did a much better job at Leave It to Chance and wish that series had run much longer.
