Hour-Man and Captain Hawkman (+ Spectre) Friday May 26, 1940, 1:45 pm Philadelphia Corner of S 21st Street and Lombard Street
The two policemen, still wary of the big "troll," chased after the seven hoodlums (including Jay) escaping down the stairs to the second floor.
Captain Hawkman still had a pulse. Hour-Man stabilized him as best he could.
"Dr. Arman," the Spectre asked his charm victim, "do you have a first aid kit nearby?"
"In my lab," she said.
"It seems we have some choices to make, Hour-Man," the Spectre said. "While I command Dr. Arman it seems I also command 'Spot.' I can send it to attack the remaining hoodlums preventing the police from coming in, or keep it with us an advance guard as we continue on to the lab for you. Or, we get Captain Hawkman to a hospital for the care he must need; I suspect his blood being all over the floor instead of in his body is why he lost consciousness. Or, we head down the stairs after our escaping prisoners."
Walter was petting one of his cats, like nothing odd was going on around him.

Hourman says, "we need to get him healed he may not make it to the hospital. " Hourman bandages captain as best as he can.
Hourman guess with his superspeed if he can make it to the hospital to drop the captain off and come back

Hawkman moaned something incomprehensible, and then uttered, "...the cats can fight by my side... I just know they can..."
Then he blacked out again.

((So the plan is to run at 80 MPH through a building where you don't know the route to the exits, carrying CH, hoping to get out without more encounters?))
The Spectre made a little cough in his throat, then said, "If you wish, I could open a dimensional portal that would drop off Captain Hawkman outside with the police out front..."

HOurman stops and says, " if you can do that magic excellent. Need to tell the police to get him first aid immediately maybe an ambulance. You know we can then let walter and his cats leave too. He will be safe. "

Hour-Man and Captain Hawkman (+ Spectre) Friday May 26, 1940, 1:46 pm Philadelphia Corner of S 21st Street and Lombard Street
The Spectre cast a spell and Captain Hawkman vanished from the room in a flash of light!
The Spectre then turned to Walter and said, "Hour-Man says you are free to go."
"I'm staying with my sister," Walter said.
Turning back to Hour-Man, the Spectre said, "Our next priority is...returning to the search for these important notes?"

There was a wail of an ambulance out front of the building, and paramedics got the Cap on a stretcher checking his pulse and consciousness as they loaded him on the ambulance. When he was asked his name and where he lived, he muttered, "Those notes have got to cure the Cat Man... and we need those to fight the scary monster.... Help the cats!"
Then he babbled incoherently and blacked out...

Hour-Man (+ Spectre) Friday May 26, 1940, 1:47 pm Philadelphia Corner of S 21st Street and Lombard Street
Hour-Man, for now, abandoned his plans of capturing Dr. Arman's notes and focused on recapturing the escaped prisoners, and/or finding the policemen who chased after them. Hour-Man led the way. The Spectre made Dr. Arman follow, Dr. Arman made Spot follow her, Walter followed her willingly, and his dozen cats followed him.
Hour-Man quickly reached the second floor landing, where he immediately found the two policemen, but no sign of the escaped prisoners.
There were three exits, a doorway to the north, a doorway to the east, and a door the south. The doorways opened up onto corridors, with the east corridor being an outside-facing corridor with sunlight windows.
"Two of the prisoners ran north and four ran east," one of the policemen reported. "We...didn't feel it was safe to split up and chase them."
"Didn't you want the notes from the lab on the third floor?" the other policeman asked.

Hourman stops and says, " I want to make sure we all get out of here alive, the notes, all of you and hopefully them. Lets go back and get the notes."

Hour-Man (+ Spectre)Friday May 26, 1940, 1:52 pm Philadelphia Corner of S 21st Street and Lombard Street Hour-Man led the Spectre, Dr. Arman, her brother Walter, his dozen cats, Spot the Troll, and the two nervous policemen back up the stairs and found themselves on the third floor landing. This time, charmed by the Spectre, Dr. Arman did not try to lead them through the north door, but through the open doorway on the east wall. Outside was a long north-south corridor, brightly lit by a long row of windows to the outside. To the north was a turn of the corridor before a pair of double doors, and Dr. Arman led them that way. But she ignored the double doors and had everyone take the turn west and follow the corridor. There were doors to the north and south up ahead, the one to the south almost surely leading into Spot the Troll's room. Dr. Arman told them to use the north door. Behind it was a small room, 20' x 15', that might have served as an armory. Racks in the room were mostly empty, but there were some handguns and boxes of bullets stacked next to the racks. There was a door left wide open to the north and Dr. Arman ignored this room and led them straight through it. Beyond was a narrow 5' wide corridor that went north and west. To the north were two doors across from each other, the one on the west side was left open. To the west was a door in the north wall and that was also left open. Both open doors seemed to lead into the same area, from which everyone could hear voices, and muffled street noise from three floors down. "-ember there's a $100 bounty for every cop you hit!" someone was shouting. But no one was shooting at present. Dr. Arman produced some keys and began unlocking the door to the east ((marked with a x on the map I'm about to show you)). Meanwhile, the Spectre said, "Tell Spot to kill those men before they go back to shooting at the police."

Hourman waits and tells the police to be brave and responds to Spectre comments, " tell spot to defeat the men, injure not necessarly kill. "

Hour-Man (+ Spectre)Friday May 26, 1940, 1:53 pm Philadelphia Corner of S 21st Street and Lombard Street The Spectre had Dr. Arman stop Spot the Troll and correct his instructions. Both the Spectre and Spot looked disappointed. "Your mercy tempers my sense of justice once again," the Spectre said. Meanwhile, Arman unlocked the door and it opened onto a 20' x 20' room ((which I'd already drawn on the map, so - spoilers!)). Though small, it was crowded with equipment, like a hi-tech workshop ((see photo below!)). There was a single window in the north wall facing the front of the building and near it was a small desk. The Spectre went over to the machine hanging from a track on the ceiling and touched it. "Is this the paralysis ray projector that started our investigation?" Dr. Arman responded. "Yes, or at least the stationary version. Many of the parts were gutted to build the portable version my lieutenant has." "Is there anything of value in here that Hour-Man might wish to take as a trophy? Some other weapon you invented?" "Well..." Arman said, removing her glasses, "These are my hypno-glasses." "Ah yes. I am sure Hour-Man noticed how you had to touch your glasses before trying to hypnotize me back earlier." The Spectre took the glasses from her. Meanwhile, Hour-Man was going through the drawers of the desk and found neat folders full of papers, each marked with the name of an experiment. There were 14 thick folders. One of them was marked "Restoring the dead."

HOurman takes her notes and comments, " those glasses can be yours spectre if you wish. The paralysis gun needs to be destroyed as we don't want any one to really use this"
( ooc: did we capture the lieutant? ooc: the paralysis will this be invented in hourman's future? or does this advancement could damage the time line?
