The Web drove to Theodore Roosevelt High School in costume, with just his mask off. After driving around the school, The Web figured the best way to enter in broad daylight was to park on Matthews Street, near the intersection with 6th Street, as that put him furthest from the sports field where most everyone would be. It still left a long sprint across the school lawn, fully exposed to any random witness, but if he reached the school quickly enough there was plenty of shrubbery to serve as cover around the school walls. The Web decided not to run. Though his blue and green costume looked nothing the school mascot, Teddy the Bear, there was still a chance that, if he appeared nonchalant enough, someone would mistake him for being dressed up like that for the baseball game. He put on his mask and wig, locked his car, and went up to one of the building's side entrances that had the most cover around it. ((The Web will burn 1 stunt to unlock the door, if necessary, plus another stunt to ensure he moves silently through the school. A 1940s school is going to have no security, but I need to avoid encounters with the janitorial staff. Once inside, he moves across the building to the administration offices.))

"I'm sure there is a toy department. This isn't where I usually shop, but I get the impression they probably sell everything here," Charlie said as he got off his big Harley. He reached under the tank and set his secret ignition lock. The big man was wearing his cleanest chinos and newest shirt with a light windbreaker over it. He stowed his cap in one saddlebag and combed his hair straight.
"No reason why we shouldn't go shopping together, huh? Let's check out the toy section. I can check out BB guns and train sets for my imaginary nephew."
((OOC: Darren you are correct that motorcyclists were looked down on by some in this time, but as reckless daredevils rather than hoodlums. The Hell's Angels and the dust-up at Hollister (which was largely inflated by the media) were both Post WWII. Also, motorcyclists in this day enjoyed the traffic busting benefits of 'lane splitting', just as they do today in California))

(OOC Arrowhead I was looking at more 1950's greaser first impressions, lol)
Scene one: Parking the car the Web manages to cut across the front lawn and make it to the school west side door entrance. The door were surprisingly open and the web realizes that one of the drivers education cars were not in the parking lot. The high school is one of the few schools licensed by the states to offer drivers education classes. In his civilian identity he remembers a discussion with some of his peers over lunch that this topic was brought up. Entering and using his super stunt power he manages to get to science faculty lounge area. The door to the lounge and offices is locked and the web uses his picks and talents (failed the skill roll but uses a stunt to succeed ) and is now in the office
Scene two: Apparently either the Hollywood and/or Beverly hills police did not get the radio broadcast as there is not a heavy presence of police here. There is a squad car that passes by this huge department store now and then but everything looks normal. You are parking in a nice parking lot and there is the main entrance to the store and there is probably a loading dock area entrance as well. With Agent echo powers activated to make him look nicer , both heroes enter the store. The store has the more modern 1940's department store tech advances. Past the cash registers there is a night fashion show for women modelling the most luxurious and expensive women’s apparel from lingerie, shoes, millinery, dresses, sable fur coats and wraps to glittering jewelry, gloves and handbags and designer makeup. All direct from New York design houses. To the right is the men's section where designer pants, clothing and suits, with tailors doing measurements, are in view. There are two luxurious elevators in the middle of the store which lead up to the 2nd and third floor of this store. There is a sign near the elevator detailing what departments are on each floor and on the elevator there is a finely dressed employee who announces on each floor what departments are on it.

"So E, do you want to go toy shopping or check out the goods on this floor?" Charlie said. He was obviously eyeballing a gorgeous brunette as she strutted down the catwalk.

"We should finish our recon by finding the area on this floor where the most expensive furs are displayed, and work our way out. Furs first, then eyeball the Jewelry section and cases, then finally the Toys (presumably on another floor). We should have plenty of time before Midnight, and we just might spot something unusual."
"Once we've cased the joint, I can take up in the fur section in disguise, and I suggest you find some way to hide out nearer to the Jewelry cases. Perhaps we can find a janitor's closet and that would provide some resources to that end. Regardless, we find places to hide before they officially close... then we stay vigilant."

The Web meticulously searched the records for teachers with strong science backgrounds and/or recent immigrants. He also did not want to limit himself to just the science teachers, which was why he was heading for the school's administrative offices and not just the science faculty office. He would be heading there next.

(sorry for the delays gentlemen got a few days off and got personal things done besides rest)
Scene one: Heading to the women's section passing by the nice women showing off the latest and most expensive clothing, both heroes make it to the coats and furs. The furs are all on display, very neat, organized and expensive. Some are displayed on manikins and a couple are empty and you can see the fashion show are displaying them. While briefly perusing, a young sales woman approaches the two heroes and asks, "gentlemen I see you are eyeing the Leopard Stenciled Coney coat, nice taste gentlemen, we have two of them left and your wives would love this. I can take one down so can check the feel of the coat?" Both heroes see the price tag at $165
Scene two: The Web goes through the science office and the school has three science professors and one teachers assistant. Taking the time he sees that two of the science teachers ,Marvin Simon and Rachael Meadows have taught here for over fifteen years and no real red flags on the records. The web looks at the third teacher and this teacher Scott Williams, came from New York city two years ago. Scott Williams has no red marks in his file. The teachers assistant, Meghan Murphy is a college student at UCLA, and she was recently brought in last semester, Fall 1942. She has high recommendations from the college and she is assigned to Scott Williams and Marvin Simon. Also in the records there are home addresses and phone numbers. The Web makes a copy of these records and he is leaving the lounge it is about 615. As he is then heading back down stairs to the admin offices, he hears the janitor leave that office, lock the door and then move across the hall to the school councilor offices.

The Web doesn't rush things; he hides under the receptionist's desk until the janitor finishes in the councilor's office and moves on. Then The Web tries to pick the lock on the administration office ((skill check; trying to save those remaining stunts!)).

"Well, painted rabbit is fine for most people, I assume. My colleague and I," Charlie made an expansive gesture towards Echo," are looking for the proper fur coats." Charlie effected the toniest accent he could.

scene one: Realizing that the offices are locked, the web instead finds a place to hide upstairs where he can be out of view of anyone on the first floor and also observe the janitor leaving. The janitor stays and cleans the councilor office for about thirty minutes, which seems like an eternity. As he is leaving the office, there is a knock on the front doors and the janitor heads to it. As the web begins to move from his hiding place he stops, as he sees a woman talking with the janitor heading into the councilor's room. They both go in there and he can clearly hear them talking. After maybe five minutes they both leave and after a minute the janitor is seen back carrying his tools and leaving the councilor office. He takes his supplies down the main hall and turning left to the deans office. This is the break the web needs and he creeps down the stairs. He gets to the admin office and after a few minutes easily picks the lock and enters in the office. Now he can see the main admin desk with quite a few file cabinets. Also there is a smaller office in this administrative office which he guesses is the principal's office which is probably locked
Scene two: the young sales rep who is quite attractive and clearly has a name tag that says Allison, says, "right this way gentlemen. The fur that you looked at is made in the united states. If you are looking for imported furs gentlemen I know Cassie and Laura will be on the stage showing off an ocelot fur coat from Germany and a Monkey fur coat from Uganda. Also we have these three coats, all from France, two minx and a white rabbit." She shows the two heroes the coats. It is clearly all of the coats are stored in the same section. There is also a changing room nearby. Both heroes are closer to the elevator and the toy section is on the third floor and the jewelry section is on the 2nd floor.

Scene two addition: all of the fur coats are not hanged on a rack, each of them would be displayed on a manikin

The cabinets likely held what he was looking for; he looked for the hiring records of all the teachers, looking for anything suspicious about their backgrounds, their countries of origin, or any negative reports about them forming too many friendships with students.

"I ALWAYS buy American." The Agent of sound said in his most patriotic voice, "It makes shopping a little pickier, but the little Missus can tell the difference. <wink wink> Are all your best out here? Or do you keep anything 'special' in the back?"
Leo takes note of the dressing room. After the sales lady answers Agent Echo and Arrow Head want to make sure we check out the other two sections before taking up our stake-out positions. Looks like we might need to split up on different floors... me with the furs, and A-head with the jewels.

Scene one question: As the Web heads to the cabinets how is the web seeing as the office lights are off?
Scene two: Allison laughs at Echo's joke and says, "no sir we don't have any additional stock in the back. All of the furs are on display. We sold five this morning and are expecting five to ten more tomorrow. Would you like me to show you one of the coats. I can have you feel one yourself or can put one of the them on to model it for you. By chance do either have your wives size?" The fitting room is two single small rooms side by side. They are small and not real comfortable. Currently they are both not occupied. The store also seems pretty busy with the fashion show on the first floor and you both can see a big group of families boarding the elevator, in shifts.
