The Leading Man moved to cover the tunnel while the rest of his squad investigated the room.
"What's in that box?" he asked over his shoulder.

No one had looked in the box yet.
The Leading Man could shine his flashlight further down the tunnel and saw it opened up ahead into a third room. He could see a door at the back of that room.
((I'll be posting your first map tomorrow!))

While everyone stood around and did nothing, Agent Lane went into the next room, shining a flashlight around in one hand and his pistol held out over the flashlight in his other hand. He came back 30 seconds later and said, "I think I found their front door. Two of them. And it looks like we're not getting in either unless someone's found a key..."

Moving forward, Captain Avenger said, "Let me see what I can do". Then bending his leg back he proceeded to kick down the door.

Howard whispers " maybe we should listen and search the door before battering it. There could be a booby trap on it and or if we hear movement we could tell how many guards we are facing." As he is saying this Howard moves forward and looks into the box using his flashlight.

Complicating Captain Avenger's plan only slightly was that there were, as Agent Lane had said, two doors in the next room.
The third room was much like the first two, but with an even higher ratio of lizard men to Indians painted on the wall, no bench, no box in a puddle, and the (aforementioned) two doors.
The far door (east) was stone and had no visible hinges or handle. It seemed to be a slab fitted in a grove that was either meant to slide left or right, or up or down.
The door to the right (south) was old, warped wood, bound in bronze, with three bronze bars inserted in the frame to block the door from opening.
Captain Avenger carefully listened at both doors. He heard nothing from behind the stone door. There was enough room between the bronze bars for him to lean his head through and listen to the bronze-bound wooden door. Through that he heard a steady, droning hum.

((I'm going to give The Cabalist seven more hours to tell me how he's reaching the box, or I'll make something up on my own.
((Also, Captain Avenger has the ability to try and wreck through either door, though they might be harder than normal because of their design.))

The caballist will use his walking stick as a crowbar and try to drag the box to him. When it comes off the edge he will try to catch it.

The Leading Man said, "The wood door might be easier, but, if we can , my vote is for the stone door. I gots my suspicions about the wood one."

"Come here and help me with the stone door" CA replied. (We are both superheroes so we will double team the door).

Andrew stayed by The Cabalist while the Cabalist carefully used his crowbar to pull the box through the scummy water and closer to him. He could see six items in the box -- a dagger, a small shield, some jewelry and -- A huge, dark gray lamprey suddenly lunged out of the water and came within striking distance of The Cabalist! The lamprey seemed like it was at least 3' long. Meanwhile, one room to the east, Captain Avenger and The Leading Man put their shoulders into the stone door. Their strength was great and the stone was thin -- they broke through almost immediately! "Wow, you two are strong!" Agent Lane said. He shone a light past them through the doorway. Behind the door was a fourth room, larger, with a slate-tiled floor, high ceiling, and dead human bodies on the floor... (( rolls: 1, 2 -- both sides surprised; 18))

The Leading Man turned back and charged to assist The Cabalist. He lunged at it to tear it away from the magician.
((Attack!))

((We can say the Cabalist cried out in surprise loud enough to alert The Leading Man. We'll resolve it next week!))
