Just plug in the numbers and the rest should fall into place. Buy as little or as much of your starting equipment up front as you want to. Ask me any specific questions that you may have here and, when you're done, post your heroes in the folder for the campaign down at the bottom of the board.
About post rate -- I plan to post for this campaign every other day. Is that going to work for everyone here?

A hidden base or prepurchased property is fine. Unless you want us to meet, do a team up ( marvel teamup style) and then in character discuss base, etc.
The caballist is a stage magician and he could be entertaining the USO and the troops.

Most of the times I've played before have been hideout-crawls, so I wouldn't mind switching it up.

Good for me. Decided on playing a flagsuit character. Like the original Shield. Captain Avenger 1st Level Human Superhero Real Name: Richard "Rick" Murphy STR 11 INT 10 WIS 13 CON 14 DEX 9 CHA 11 Starting money $1,100
Alignment: Lawful Combat Boots Military Uniform Browning Auto Pistol Knife (Probably get rid of most of the weapons as he levels up.) First Aid Kit Ford V-8 Cabriolet, 1932 used Got his powers from a U.S. Government experiment to created superheroes for the war effort. Instead of using serums and other chemistry this division decided to use advanced techniques such as sensory deprivation and bio feedback. They ended activating the power within only in then Sergeant Rick Murphy. Murphy only signed up because poverty and originally only signed on to the supers program to make some extra money and get a promotion to officer. He succeeded in doing both but due to the fact that he was the only success the program was scrapped and now Lt. Murphy was transferred to intelligence and now Captain Murphy became a secret agent for the government. When Pearl Harbour happened the special program division was reactivated and Captain Murphy would become Captain Avenger.

Hmm, did some people forget what I wrote about "I'm thinking now of starting us in 1943 Minneapolis. Everyone will need a reason why they weren't drafted"? If we have a patriotic war hero and a USO performer -- do you guys want a war-themed campaign instead of fighting crime back in the states?

My character would be performing for boot camps and local military. Unless a war campaign is better for you.
Although Scott my character was in 1941 so maybe I could have been working for the military the last couple of years.
So when u are planning to start Scott?

No hurry. No one has posted their heroes in the campaign folder for them yet. When I've seen and approved all the heroes, and we've hashed out what we want from this campaign, then give me a week or two to sort out details. And then we'll get playing!

I'm willing to roll with whatever, but a war-themed game sounds like it could be fun.

I'm warming up to the war campaign. It would be really different, and no one would have to change their heroes. Well, maybe no one. Will Captain Neptune fit a war campaign?

He could wreck havoc with the German Navy! Which theater?

Why not both?
I'm convinced -- we're going to see how H&H holds up in a war campaign!
Remember to post your heroes to the campaign folder, and watch for a first in-character post...maybe May 30th?

Bleh. Really not at all thrilled with a war campaign. Superheroes vs Nazis. Been there, done that, a bajillion times already, with about as many different systems. Tends to be an all tactics, no character sort of thing. And "Natzees" are just so...one dimensional as villains. sigh. More generally, I want to play Golden Age Comic Book Adventures with a familiar rules set, not dungeon-crawl in spandex--though the occasional raid on a stronghold or lair is certainly okay dokey as part of a broader campaign theme. Sorry, don't mean to be the cranky problem-gamer. Having a lousy day in general.

I've never considered Scott a big fan of tactical combat, so I find it difficult to envision him going in that direction. I was picturing a game set against the backdrop of the war, but telling a story that was more than just confrontations with Nazis.
