July 16, 1941 Tromso, Norway
It was hard to believe, for the Gray Condor, that he had just flow in and out of Norway successfully a week ago. But the Nazi occupiers had little interest in northern Norway then, and now they seemed everywhere. Getting out and contacting the King in England was going to be difficult.
The masked aviator and the charming enchantress were agreed that their best bet was to escape with help, and that meant contacting the Norwegian Resistance, Milorg, again. But the Heroes had been moving quietly through the port city for two days now hoping to contact the Resistance and found it an extremely difficult task. Today, they found out why.
The Nazis had retaliated at Omega Archer's show of force the other day by killing a citizen suspected of sabotage. Now they were rounding up other suspects to hold in case further acts of retaliation were "required of them". The Nazis, at least, were not picking people at random, but seemed to be making a concentrated effort to locate citizens who had committed small acts of sabotage, like moving sign posts and cutting telephone lines. They had three people in custody already. Gray Condor and Magnifica watched from the shadows of an alleyway as a squad of 8 Nazi soldiers burst into a residence and dragged out their fourth suspect.

Magnifica sees this and tries to help the suspect, Gray Condor pulls her back into the shadowy alleyway. He says "there is nothing we can do for this man or we will get captured ourselves." reluctantly Magnifica understands and asks "what is next?". Gray condor says, "the next thing we need to go to where we met the resistance and see if we can find them. Otherwise we need to see what kind of resistance there is at the docks. The only way off this is by boat. Perhaps we can get aboard a cargo ship. "
Both adventurers head to the dock area. Along the way the Gray condor studies patrols, officers? any women in the military? All in while keeping to the shadows. Another option comes to his mind. If she casts her invisibility spell and then I capture a german officer. We can then either board a ship or make it to the airstrip and get a plane. After all I am a pilot not a thief. Maybe not acquire a german fighter jet but maybe a cargo jet, unless there is a dirigible that transports people, then we can board as passengers. If we go in as civilians we need paperwork.
(OOC: scott was there any blimps, dirigible used for transportation)

Magnifica didn't like it, but she agreed to play it safe and not mess with the Nazis. Surreptitiously, they continued to survey their options. There were many trawlers docked at the piers. The Heroes talked to some fishermen and learned that the Nazis let the trawlers go out only so far for fishing, but that they were cut off from the North Sea by a German battleship, the Tirpitz that sat just outside the harbor. "You never know how many U-boats 'dey got out 'dere either," the fisherman added pessimistically. "And 'de Nord' Sea is full of land mines, 'dey say." Gray Condor knew he could get them out of Norway safely if he just had his Jenny. If only the British hadn't convinced them to parachute in this time! Tromso's airport was known as the Aerodrome. There were plenty of planes there -- but it was also the best-guarded and most heavily fortified location in the city limits. Still, the Germans would not be expecting invisibility, and if only they could get one Nazi off on his own, jump him, and take his uniform... --- References: Tromso: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troms%C3%B8Tirpitz: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_battleship_Tirpitz

The grey condor waits for the opportunity to find a plane that is lightly guarded or ready for take off. He waits for a pilot to be alone or conveniently running late so he can ambush him and take his uniform. Unless the pilots lodge/quarters is close by then taking a uniform is not difficult.
(use Fly Stunt)
He then tells magnifica once he gets a uniform to use her invisibility and to follow the grey condor to the plane.

((Late answer: the Germans stopped using blimps in 1940, last year game time.)) Later that same day, followed by an invisible Magnifica (who wore soft-soled shoes to avoid being heard), Gray Condor was ready to pull off the performance of a lifetime. He was going to walk onto the Aerodrome grounds, doing his best German impersonation, and try to talk his way onto an airstrip using nothing but his aeronautical knowledge to bluff. Amazingly, it worked! He talked his way onto the tarmac, right where a plane was waiting to taxi. He hopped into the plane, an Arado Ar 68, while the pilot's back was turned and taxied down the runway as soon as Magnifica told him she was inside. "Artner, you haff' not been given permission to take off!" came the voice over the radio, but Gray Condor ignored it and took off anyway! The two heroes shouted for joy -- but they were not alone in the air for long. Two Messerschmitt Bf 109's were quickly scrambled and took off in pursuit. Gray Condor yanked back the stick and climbed for the clouds, but it was too late; they had visual confirmation on him, and they were faster. They continued to give chase as Gray Condor leveled off and fled north. ((Any thoughts on how to lose them before they reach firing range?)) --- Research: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_aircraft_of_World_War_II#Single-engined.2C_Single-seat_fighters.2C_fighter-bombers_and_jet_fighters

The grey condor tells magnifica to man the guns. Then he goes ahead and uses his combat maneuvers and the clouds to evade the enemy.
( Scott in inticipation of this possible even could I have switched my stunts before this?)

A quick stock of their assets showed that the Arado had a machine gun -- but only a forward-facing one for the pilot. The passenger behind him (Magnifica, in this case) could control a bomb door and had three bombs to drop.
The chase had so far climbed to 9,000 ft. and the Arado was traveling at 180 MPH -- but the Messerschmitt's were coming up on him at 250 MPH and would be on top of him in another minute...
((Yes, plan your remaining stunts and add them to your next post.))

Stunts planned " fly, increase speed and evasive manuevers)
The grey condor sees the enemy fighters getting close tries to get more speed from the air craft using " increased speed". If the speed increase is not going to work then he tells magnififa to hold on and If he will use his evasive maneuver stunt. Use some similar stunts he used when he worked for a farmer doing crop dusting with the loops and dives.
While flying he asks magnifica to use radio and try to get an English military frequency to get us some help.

The Gray Condor was able to squeeze another 20 MPH out of his plane, enough to win a race against any other Arado, but useless in eluding the Messerschmitt's.
The shooting started before Gray Condor could even start evasive maneuvers, and some of those bullets came frighteningly close.
Magnifica tried to raise the English Royal Air Force on the radio, but they were only 60 miles northwest of Tromso now, with most of the North Sea still between them and England.
Their only hope seemed to be that the Messershmitt's might be too fast to be as maneuverable as the Arado. Gray Condor barrel rolled away from them and began some loops to elude them. It worked well, at first, but the pilots on his tail were slowly finding their mark. And there were 600 miles of sea to cross over, at least 300 before they might have any hope of reinforcements.
They were 120 miles out over the sea when their luck ran out. A hit put them into a spin! They lost half their altitude before Gray Condor could pull out of it.
Magnifica was shouting at him. What was wrong? Gray Condor glanced at the compass -- he was heading the wrong way, back east towards Norway!
((to hit, turn 1: 11, 7, 11, 14, 5, 1, 10, 17; turn 2: 10, 2, 11, 14, 9, 1, 9, 8; turn 3: 12, 16, 13, 6, 15, 8, 10, 3; turn 4: 9, 2, 16, 7, 1, 12, 20, 10 - random plane mishap 7 = thrown off-course, random direction: 3 = W))

The grey condor tries to flip the plane and use the evasive maneuver stunt to change the planes direction and get to back on course if possible. If the maneuver can also get the plane where it is above the enemy plane so magnifica can drop a bomb on it. Then thinking before executing the maneuver he asks magnifica if she can use her magic on the enemy pilots. Magnifica if in range will try to charm person one of the enemy pilots if possible.
