Article can be found here. www.toplessrobot.com/2013/06/the_10_best_superhero_role_playing_games.phpThe author lists his top ten and gives some information about each. I haven't played them all, but at one time or another I've pretty much read them all. (Well, not the Swedish one....) .. .. .. (Spoiler) For those who don't want to wait, here is the list: 10. Savage Worlds/Necessary Evil (Pennacle Entertainment) 09. Superworld (Chaosium) 08. Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles and other Strangeness (Palladium) 07. Marvel SAGA (TSR) 06. Villians & Vigilantes (FGU) 05. Smallville (Margaret Weiss Productions) 04. The Supercrew (some Swedish dudes) 03. Mutants & Masterminds (Green Ronin) 02. Champions (Hero Games) 01. DC Heroes (Mayfair)

Ouch, and that list was made well after H&H came out! Oh well. I've never played DC Heroes, but it seems like he really loves rules crunch and setting-specific RPGs. H&H doesn't have either of that stuff, so I can see why it wouldn't be his cup of tea.

Maybe he hasn't seen H&H. You have to admit that it's still sort of a niche game. On the other hand, he has played some odd game from Sweden....
Yeah, I notice that 08, 08, 05, 02, and 01 are all based on someone's intellectual property, which gives them an unfair advantage. Lots of folks like the idea of playing "superman" or "wolverine" even if they could play something exactly the same but without the names attached.
Another thought is that Marvel Super Heroes isn't on the list. That's hard to believe, especially when one factors in the product support that TSR threw its way over the years. You recall it got a lot of exposure in Dragon.
Anyway, my intent was simply to get some chatter going....

I'll play the 'Superhero Cop'. Dude lists TMNT and Other Strangeness. I have that game, and I've played it a few times. I've never thought it was a superhero game. Sure it's based on comic characters, but they are mutant animals. A fine line, but it's there.
I also don't agree that The Saga MArvel game should beat out MSH. But I'm biased to that one as I've played some very emeorable campaigns in it and have only read the Saga version (and didn't care for it). I didn't read the guys artcle, maybe he's a younger dude and hasn't been exposed to MSH?

Read all the way to the bottom, Archersix -- he gave Marvel Super Heroes an "honorable mention".
