Background: Manhunter. Whether tracking her quarry across burning deserts, barren snowfields or the paper trail of a Real Estate file, Miss Reade has an almost supernatural ability to find people. She rolls +1 on all attempts to so so, and if the prey isn't attempting to evade her she won't usually need to roll at all.
Languages and Skills(1D6): Miss Reade can hold as silent and motionless as a corpse(+1 Hide). She is fluent and literate in English-exposure to the Lethe destroyed her previous skills, fluencies and most of her early memories.
Hangups: Weirdness Magnet(as a Supernatural being, Perri Reade sometimes attracts the strange and unusual, the Editor has the right to use this as an excuse for Plot Hooks galore). What I Have Seen(as a returnee from the Afterlife with massive gaps in her memory and horrific visions, Perri sometimes can't quite fit in with polite society any more, and the Editor might add a Penalty Die for some Reaction or SCM recruitment checks.
Powers
Mystic Being-Miss Reade may choose Powers from either the Magic-User or Superhero lists, and for purposes of Detect Magic, Dispel Magic, Saves etc all of her powers are considered Spells. She cannot research actual Spells, use Foci or engage in a Contest of Wills.
Powers Known-(Lvl1) Detect Magic, Detect Evil, Spider Climb, Feather Fall, Spook Bad Guys. Usable Powers-Lvl 1 (1 per day).
Supernatural Being-If Miss Reade's Powers are magically blocked or stripped from her, she becomes nearly cataleptic-in addition, any spell or device that would work on a Divine or Infernal being (Protection from Good/Evil, Magic Circles etc) affect her also.
True Grit-Miss Reade adds her WIS score to her CON.
No Grave Can Hold Me-Miss Reade may leap up to 18 feet/Lvl and fall twice that with no injury.
A Little Dead Inside-a dip in the Styx has given Miss Reade a natural AC of 7/12 with Helmet bonus. Once broken however, her flesh is reluctant to seal (half normal Healing Rate). Access to a quiet room, a sewing kit , gritted teeth and a decent spiderweb poultice or antiseptic will do wonders however (normal Android Repair rules).
Technowhutnow?-Miss Reade is not an actual Android and notices Mad Science no more than anyone else.
Purest Wrath-Miss Reade can Wreck Things as a Superhero, up to 4 times per day and at a range of up to 10 feet/Lvl. Anyone holding on to a disintegrating object takes 1D6 from ionization and sparks.
Description-the former Kelly Prentiss no longer resembles her past self-her once auburn hair is now ash blonde and bobbed, her once green eyes are ash grey and her ruddy, freckled skin is now slightly pallid. She breathes as rarely as one in a deep sleep, and her resting pulse is only 25 a minute. As Perri Reade she prefers plain dresses without corsets or bustles and either a collar or a thin cotton scarf to hide a permanent rope burn. After much re-training her voice is a low dulcet alto (Katherine Hepburn as an example).
As the Dust Witch, Miss Reade sports reinforced denim trousers, broad leather belt with fringed pouches, thick denim shirt, leather vest and large leather duster that billows as a cape. Denim strips cross her face like a modern mummy, leaving only her eyes exposed, and topped with a tied-down Stetson hat. In this persona, Miss Reade relaxes her damaged voicebox and sounds like a cross between Clint Eastwood and a cracked brass bell. Between the outfit and the voice, many believe the Dust Witch to be a man.
(Editor's Note:it made no sense for this PC to Sense Technology, so I nixed it and expanded the usefulness of the Leaping Ability instead. Also I am replacing 'Race' with 'Origin' due to my Table's preferences, and if I am an Editor then my Players wish to be called 'Writers' and our table will collectively be known as a 'Bullpen' because my Peeps are getting into it... -order99, ed.)
