Charlie keeps watching the scene and Teresa says " well that accident seems to be handled I am going to go back and finish my lines. It is good to see u and I will see u later." Teresa heads back to her table
In the lobby the man says to john " thank you son for the help but I will be fine. My granddaughter will be coming soon with her dad. I am just a little early. Now thanks but I need my package back. "

"Ah, I see! You got here early, and you were feeling a might bit peckish, and thought you'd stop for a snack first!" John said friendly, but loudly. "Well, I can't say I blame you, I'm a bit peckish myself. Let's sit and get to know each other." John headed to a free table in the restaurant, taking the package with him as if he absent-mindedly was still holding it.
((And I'm keeping this up however long you want to drag it out, always finding a new excuse to ignore the request to hand it over. If he tries to physically get the package away from me, I pretend my thumb is caught in the ribbon and try to rip the package open so everyone sees what's inside.))

"Be careful Theresa. I'll see you later," Charlie said just loudly enough for her to hear him. He then watched John and stood ready to help, but only if things got sticky.

Teresa smiles and leaves with the gentlemen. The bodyguards walk her to the parking garage.
The dollmaker walks with John not really saying much as if whatever he says John does not seem to be compliant. Then he turns and sees a man walking with a little girl. He smiles and says, "hello Francine its grandpa. " The little girl giggles and comes over and gives him a hug. The other man walks over and shakes his hand. The Dollmaker says to John, "this is Francine my grandaughter I need my gift please. " As john sees this he attempts to give the package but manages to catch hold of the ribbon and the ribbon falls off. The dollmaker trying not to loose his temper says, " thanks son for your help and despite your clumsiness the gift is all right. The gift is in fact a teddy bear. The girl looks genuinely happy about the gift.
Observation one: Charlie focusing on now just watching notices that from the little girl, probably due to the dollmaker being clumsy, she is tucking her top of her blouse. As she is fixing this Charlie notices a small clockwork device in her back. Charlie and John have seen this from the assistant in the shop earlier. Has the dollmaker made another fantastic device?
Observation two: John notices with his keen detective skills, the girls father is armed as after the handshake with the dollmaker, notices a shoulder holster with a handgun.

John continues to act like he's just part of the family. He crouches down and says in a friendly way, "Well, don't just stand there, Francine! Open it and let's see what it is!"
If they try to leave, John tries to go with. If they try to make him go away, he makes a loud scene.

The girl opens the package and removes the stuffed teddy bear. Around the teddy bear is a locket. The dollmaker says, " look inside the locket dear" . The little girl does and in fact is a small photo of her and her grandfather. She smiles and than says, " papa lets go to the park." The dollmaker and the girl's father then walk with the girl try to go to the front entrance. John tries to please the case that the dollmaker looks sick and the hotel security guard comes over. The dollmaker tells the guard that he is fine and that John is an absolute stranger and that John needs the attention. The hotel security approaches John now.
Any reaction for John or Charlie?

((What a bizarre scene this is!))
If John could see Charlie nearby, he would just give him a "go follow them" look with his eyes, and then stay behind to talk to the hotel security, deflecting blame to the restaurant food for leaving his friend so befuddled, and then leaving soon thereafter in a huff.

Charlie catches John's glance, nods and makes to follow the Dollmaker from a safe distance.

Charlie waits a moment or two and follows the doll-maker and his escort. They go for a short walk to the park and seem to be enjoying looking at the geese. From normal people, this looks like a child with her grandpa. Charlie notices the dollmaker give the girl a hug and both the child and her dad walk away, the girl carrying the dolly. The doll-maker walks in the direction towards charlie and there is a tear in his eyes.
John explains the situation to security and another man comes over looks to be a manager. He listens to John's complaint and then talks with a chef and the waitstaff. He manages to leave outside and sees a park across the street. John makes his way there
( reactions for Charlie?)

((Actually, since we've still got the Nazis to worry about, John is going to wait outside the hotel and watch to see if the actress and her bodyguards leave. If they do, John gets in a taxi and says "Follow that car!"))

As the Dollmaker walks by Charlie he says, "What's the matter old chap? It's a fine day out." Charlie stops right in front of him.

John sees the actress and her two men drive off in a Cadillac. He finds a taxi and the taxi driver listens to John and follows that car. The Car is heading northbound and by the direction Hollywood studios. After a thirty minute drive ( morning traffic) the Cadillac pulls into Hollywood Studios. The guard gate lets the car in. The taxi driver pulls over and the driver, named Alex says, " that will be $2.50. I can't get through the gate man."
the doll-maker says, " oh just hate seeing my granddaughter go. We were close, but her dad moved away and our visits are limited. This town is quite nice though you are the second person to be really nice. Thanks sonny."

John pays the driver and goes to see if there are studio tours today.

"Just being a human being. I know how rough it is to be away from your family," Charlie said. He starts walking in the same direction as the Dollmaker. "It's a good day for a stroll. Mind if I join you?"

( rolling save vs plot for John). John arrives at the studio gate. The guard, Sam says" the next tour won't be for another hour and half ( 11 am). Tours are usually arranged at a theater box office or at a hotel. They usually then arrive by bus. Usually there is cancellations so if you want ton wait for the next bus I am sure you can get into the next tour. "
The doll-maker smiles and accepts the company of Charlie. He introduces himself to Charlie as "Benjamin Glausor ( couldn't find his name from the long list of posts). I am originally from Switzerland but moved here to Los Angeles ten years ago. My family history is toymakers. We love amusing children. The bear I made for my grand-daughter. So who are you." ( Charlie observes the dollmaker generally cares for the girl and sees her as a real person, despite the fact that she is a fantastic toy.)
