Now, what a sandbox we have to play in this time! Yarko's feature gives us the richest assortment of supernatural threats, including ultra-high level threats like demons, devils, and Death himself!
Again, I would start sometime in the 1940-1942 range. We can start with fighting hoodlums and mobsters, but then could go anywhere from there. The Heroes could go to war (like Samson), search the world for supernatural menaces (like Yarko), or go into the future and fight alongside Rex Dexter against aliens.
All Heroes would be humans in this campaign, but all four core classes are well-represented here (no mysterymen in my "dream anthologies" post, but Fox did have mysterymen). Magic is uncommon enough that the average person doesn't believe in it, but magic is almost commonplace enough to be widely discovered at any time. All superpowers come from magic.

" All superpowers come from Magic" would be a pretty good excuse to mix and match from both the Powers and the Spells list as needed for modeling some of the more unusual Heroes-and the Gadget-Style Heroes get explained as products of the Black Sciences, so that everybody and his brother don't get Jetpacks in a few short years...sounds like a Plan!

If I ever get this AH&H Heroes Handbook done, it will include a mystic class that can swap powers for spells (emulating all those superheroes who trained from lamas in Tibet).
