"I suggest a long break this afternoon," The Web then suggested. "I, for one, do not want The Web seen too much during daylight hours; it defeats the mysterious persona I'm trying to build."

"The sun will be down by 7:30 this evening. Want to meet at the fence then?" Charlie said. "We can check that out and then head to the school later tonight."

unless anyone has anything they want to do in the afternoon I can segue to the evening then, say 630 or 700 pm to give our heroes to scout for the fence?

The Web left in a hurry, saying he would meet the other two at the fence operation at 6:30. Charlie offered to buy Echo lunch, but he brushed the mechanic off. He said something about places to go and people to see or some such. "Oh well," Charlie said, alone now. "I do have something to do while I wait." The big man walked over to the corner of the shop and pulled a cover off of a motorcycle. The cover had been in place for some time. A cloud of dust blew up and slowly settled. A gleaming blue machine was revealed. It was a customer's bike, but the customer had commissioned work six months ago and never returned once the job was complete. It was a lean machine, smaller than the Harleys and Indians that were Charlie's usual jobs. A large chrome badge proclaimed it a 'Triumph'. It was a lightweight British bike. The owner had wanted it lightened as much as possible, with a set of hot cams and a bigger than stock carburetor it was fast. There was a switch on the handlebars to shut off the head and tail lights, and the muffler was equipped with a prototype device that Charlie called a 'Snuff-or-Not'. He could almost close off the exhaust at speed. Once he did that the bike was whisper quiet. The owner, some banker, had thoughts of riding it off-road in the mountains and canyons around Los Angeles. It was certainly up for the job. Charlie spent the next couple of hours making sure everything was good to go on the bike. Fresh gas, set the points, check the tires and drive chain. Charlie stood back and looked the bike over. "Just one more thing. I'm not going to win any awards, but I can spruce it up a bit." Charlie went to his toolbox and withdrew a pair of long thin brushes and a pot of black paint. After removing the chrome badges, one on each side of the tank, he took the brushes and pinstriped an arrowhead design on the gas tank. While the pinstriping dired, Charlie affixed a saddlebag into which he put a chain and lock, and a toolkit. "I don't know that that will strike fear into the hearts of criminals, but it looks just the ticket!" Charlie said with a smile. He looked at his shop clock, and saw the time was 4:30. Just time to head down to the taco shack a few blocks down. He'd have plenty of time to meet the guys at the fence operation. (Note to the Editor, a 1938 Triumph Tiger 80 cost 61 Pounds Sterling, or about $265. Consider this deducted from my cash. For a pic of the bike see: cybermotorcycle.com/gallery/triumph-1938/Triumph-1938-07.htm )

Nice pic of bike and also the restaurant choices for the web ( will be including that for good RP)
he afternoon passes and all three of you head to the fence's location. It is not far from Charlie's bike shop and the three of you arrive across the street in an alleyway. The sun is setting and the night life will be out. From the gangsters interrogation, the fence actually runs a pawnbroker in mid town. You see the small one floor shop and since it is Sunday is now closing as a young girl is talking to someone and then goes back into the store and puts up the closed sign. The last customer is a middle aged man who is heading to his parked car

How is the middle aged man dressed and what is his demeanor? Likewise with the girl? How is the area set up? What types of businesses or other buildings are nearby? Is the pawn shop lit? Anyone else visible inside?

((Can we be on a roof across the street, observing this?))
"So, the plan is...?" The Web asked. "Go in there confrontational and intimidate him into confessing? Break in and search it for evidence? Send someone in to try to fence an item and catch him in the act?"

There is a roof on the building you are near which is across the street of the pawn shop. The building you are next to is a grocery store. The middle aged man is average height and weight. He is dressed in casual clothes and is carrying a briefcase. He has a smile on his face as he is entering his car. The girl is a Latina young girl probably still in high school. She is dressed in casual clothing and she puts up the closed sign, probably ending her shift. The pawnbroker is a one floor building and the front window displays items for sale. You can see several shelves and a front counter from the brief moment that the front door was opened. There is a bar next to the pawnbroker and a gas station next to the grocery store where you are located.

"One of you guys want to get on the roof of the pawn shop? Either of you two would be more....subtle than I could. I'm liable to break something noisily," Arrowhead said while peering at the building.

"Arrowhead, can you muscle your way in the front door? Tell him that you've got a stolen motorcycle you have to unload really fast and see if he takes the bait? Meanwhile, I'll circle around back and see if I can let myself in."

At this point the last customer, muddled aged man enters his car. There is some light traffic and there are a couple of cars in the gas station. Due to this bring a Sunday the grocery store is closed.
How are you getting to the roof of the pawnshop agent echo?
