The caballist adds " I woke up this hero with my magic not with shear force plus I would listen to what the captain here has said. Also tell the other mobsters in the other room that are shooting my friends to stop or I will use my magic and instead of making them sleep cause them much harm."
The caballist heads to the other sleeping people and removes their weapons.

The Cabalist gathered the rifles and pistol in the room. Their prisoner, still fearful of The Cabalist's threats and Captain Avenger's gun, walked to the north doorway with his hands up and shouted "George, help! They got us!"
To the north, The Leading Man charged the north doorway. He hit the door frame and put three big cracks in the stonework there with his shoulder. The two mobsters lurking on the other side hardly noticed, however, and one of them landed a blackjack on the side of The Leading Man's synthetic noggin. There were only the two opponents in this room.
The two men to the south of the northern doorway, in the room with Lane, did clearly see the cracks The Leading Man put in the doorframe.
"Did you see that!" one of them shouted. "I'm not tangling with that guy." They both moved south to the doorway where the prisoner had just shouted "George, help!" and were clearly visible to Captain Avenger and the Cabalist now. The Captain recognized one of them as George Optiz, the man who escaped from him in Minneapolis two days ago.
But they were still involved in a shootout with Lane. Lane winged one of them, but they both returned shots and Lane went down.

The Leading Man was seriously hurting ((at 3 hp)), but kept gamely fighting. His head was swimming, though, and he could not connect before the blackjacks rained down on him and knocked him out cold.
The Cabalist was tying people up, counting on Captain Avenger to watch his back. Captain Avenger had his prisoner for cover, but two combatants with rifles left to deal with. He...

The caballist moves over to the captain to use a first aid kit on him. He then hears the fighting turn quiet and whispers " we got some company."

Bracing himself against the door frame Captain Avenger checked his clip and making sure it was loaded, hid behind the door waiting for the riflemen to show up. The moment they came close enough he came out of hiding and opened up and entire clip on the traitorous bastards.

The Leading Man lay still on the ground. He did not dream. In fact, the damage to his mechanical brain had forced a shut down.

((My apologies for not getting in a post yesterday. Sadly, I don't have good news to reward you with for your wait...))
The prisoner must have alerted his comrades with his eyes as to which side of the doorway Captain Avenger was hiding behind, because they jumped into the room shooting in the right direction. The Captain was faster on the draw, but his wild shots missed everyone. He himself was not so lucky, as the Captain was winged by a bullet and, already hurt, slumped to the ground and faded into unconsciousness.
The Cabalist was winged too. He was seriously injured, out of spells, and had two rifles pointed at him. "You might want to consider surrendering," he was told.
((Sure, this looks very bleak. Luckily, I used the new 2nd ed. rule that grants a save to see if you are only stunned for 1-6 turns instead of truly unconscious at 0 hp -- and both The Leading Man and CA made their rolls. So, if The Cabalist can stall long enough...))

The caballist says " gentlemen I have put down several of your men with magic but I have not harmed themy. Instead how about I join your gang instead. My magic with your brawn we can be an excellent team."
Caballist keeps trying to use persuasion to allow the others to get some advantage

"Let's shoot him now," one of the mobsters said.
"Wait. Craig, is it true?" the other gunman said to the former prisoner. "Did he use some kind of magic?"
"He did. He cast a spell that got just about everyone."
While one gun was left trained on The Cabalist, the other gunman lowered his weapon and took a step closer. "We know magic exists because we've seen it down here. If you can wield it, maybe we can use you. Who are you, and how are you so quick to turn on your friends here?"

BuYing some more time the caballist continues his charade " gentlemen the government found my true talent and coerced me to be a specialized agent. They have threatened my family and told me that I had to work for them or else." The caballist is hoping his friends can act.

"The government, huh?" The mobsters seemed to like that explanation. "Yeah, that sounds like them."
"So what are we gonna do with him?"
"I don't trust him."
"Maybe he can prove himself to us."
"How?"
"Make him kill one of the guys he came in with."
"Yeah, yeah...that's a good idea."
The mobster named George kicked a handgun towards The Cabalist. "Go ahead, pick it up. You shoot one of the two guys you came in with, and you're one of us."

The caballist smiles and slowly picks up the gun and says " i have no gun training is there a safety, do i need to load this? Just point and shoot? These bastards do deserve justice." The caballist still stalls for time.

The Cabalist marshaled all of his acting skills into appearing to be as incompetent with a gun as possible.
A minute later, The Leading Man regained consciousness. He was alone in a dark room, but the door to the room was still open. There was some light in the next room, and the two men who had stunned him were in there. Their rifles were on the floor and they were searching Agent Lane, who looked to be dead. South of that room was another room with even more light, and loud, raised voices.
"You're a special kind of stupid, ain't ya?"
"How can anyone be so useless around a gun? Maybe we should just put this guy out of his misery."
George took another step closer to The Cabalist and raised his gun higher...
