I plan to journal, here, the Justice Society's progress on earning their $1 million for war orphans (Dr. Fate and the Spectre are off doing their own things, as usual). My players will be encouraged to come here and offer more input/rp their Heroes.
Day 1: August 26, 1941
Flash and Hawkman get lucky almost immediately and collect the $20,000 bounty for "Sharpie" Slocum.
Sandman and Johnny Thunder gather information so they can collect the bounty on "Roughhouse" Rogan.
Hourman goes to the DC Comics offices and meets with young editor Sheldon Mayer, convincing him to make the October-November issue of All-Star Comics all about this issue.
Alan Scott (Green Lantern) evicts a homeless man from the Station WXYZ restroom.
Al Pratt (Atom) goes to City Hall and files paperwork to start a charitable organization.
Day 2: August 27, 1941
Flash and Hawkman contact the rest of the Society by radio and tell them they have seed money available for other people's projects.
Flash meets with District Attorney Jim Kelly to discuss more bounty work. Flash learns the New York/New England courts are already bottlenecked with work from all the superhero-related arrests and suggests going after the Chicago Mob. Kelly is attacked, however, by a man dressed like a cowboy and calling himself Roy Revenge, who the Flash swiftly captures.
Sandman and Johnny Thunder track down "Roughhouse" Rogan and his killer girlfriend, collect $10,000 bounty.
Rex Tyler (Hourman) puts in late hours at Bannerman and misses a day.
Atom meets Alan Scott and the station manager for Station WXYZ, performs on the radio in exchange for the station's support towards the charity.

Day 3: August 28, 1941
Hourman, Sandman, and Atom meet and plan for the celebrity auction. They need people to know about the charity first, though.
Atom meets with Wesley Dodds to open a bank account for the charity (Dodds' money does not directly get them the account, though his reputation for being rich gives him a lot of pull).
Hourman and Flash meet to research companies that could develop a line of superhero lead figurines. When they learn that Roy Revenge has been broke out of jail by an accomplice, Flash rushes off to intervene, but Roy is gone and Flash only gets the accomplice.
Green Lantern checks in on his new friend, "Doiby" Dickles, but instead finds Doiby's taxi abandoned.
Hawkman, out on patrol, swoops down and saves a man about to be run over by a car. The saved man charitably gives Hawkman a check for $2,000 -- but makes it out to "Hawkman"!
Johnny Thunder meets with Station WFBH and asks for their endorsement, finds them uninterested.
Day 4: August 29, 1941
Atom records a radio ad for Station WXYZ asking for donations to their charity.
Flash looks into the accomplice and finds out his name was Joe Connor, with an adopted son named Roy -- likely the Roy Revenge now on the loose. He also schedules an appointment with the Barclay Manufacturing Company of West Hoboken, NJ, to discuss the toy line.
Green Lantern returns to his apartment and, concentrating on his magic lamp, turns it into a crystal ball to try and locate Doiby (Crystal Ball spell). Doiby appears to be in what looks like a houseboat on the Hudson River.
Hawkman and Shiera confer over what to do about the Hawkman check; she suggests he ask the rest of the Society if this money still "counts". Then she suggests they relax at their country club. There, as Carter Hall, Hawkman befriends Will Harring, executive editor from the New York Tribute.
Hourman finds his bosses at Bannerman Pharmaceuticals want him to fly to Mandarini, Mexico to supervise the delivery of a shipment of chemicals. He's supposed to leave tomorrow.
Johnny Thunder meets with Station WMCA, who are willing to mention the charity -- but only as a paid-for advertiser.
Sandman goes after one more bounty -- Mu Kuang. He spends the day looking for leads.

Day 5: August 30, 1941
Atom and Johnny compare notes and decide to approach WFAN together about endorsement. Prestigious WFAN proves cold to the idea of being associated with costumed vigilantes, even ones pursuing such an important charity. Both Atom and Johnny recognize what coup landing WFAN, with its RCA connections, would have been.
Flash pitches the superhero figure line to Barclay, but finds them uninterested. In his spare time, he sets up the P.O. Box for the charity and searches for Roy Revenge (without success).
Green Lantern finds the houseboat and rescues Doiby from four professional kidnappers. Not the originally intended victim, Doiby was being held with Matthew Doon, the wealthy business tycoon. When GL pitches the charity to Matthew afterwards, he pledges to provide the entire $1 million the charity needs.
Hawkman revisits the man he rescued and asks the man to void the check and make out a new one to Shiera Sanders. Shiera, then, donates the $2,000 to the charity for Hawkman, becoming its first donor.
Hourman flies to Mexico. There are four other passengers on the small plane, some of whom strike Rex as suspicious. One of them, a big bald bruiser, nearly assaults the stewardess when she spills coffee on him, but his two friends calm him down and tell him not to make a scene. At the airport, Rex is supposed to have a taxi waiting for him to take him to the FabriChem Factory, where they will be duplicating and mass-producing the synthetic chemicals Rex brought. There is, however, only one taxi for all the passengers to share. The most polite of the passengers, a man in dark glasses, persuades Rex to let them ride together as they are in a hurry. En route into the city, the man in dark glasses gets upset when they pass a dig site. The driver explains it's the Wonders Expedition, looking for Aztec treasure. The three suspicious passengers are dropped off at a lonely villa not far away, while Rex continues on into town for his work commitment.
Sandman learns that Mu Kuang is an international opium smuggler. He learns that a Charlie Johns, who can be found at the Chinatown Joss House (Chinese temple) might know something about Mu Kuang.
Day 6: August 31, 1941
Atom and Johnny meet with WOR and get a tepid response.
Flash meets Ann Connor, who both explains and says she wants to stop her father and brother's campaign of revenge against D.A. Kelly. She tells Flash that Roy is hiding on a farm in upstate New York, but when Flash checks it out, Roy has recently flown the coop (there is evidence that he had been here, however).
Green Lantern comes to collect the $1 million in cash from Matthew Doon -- only to discover that the man who had been kidnapped was really Matthew's loony twin brother, Felix. Matthew would like to honor Felix's promise, but can spare only $50,000 for the charity.
Carter Hall meets again with Will Harring, who this time reveals that thugs have been operating against his newspaper and he'll "give a million" to beat them. As Hawkman, Carter comes back and asks for a more specific commitment to their charity. Will pledges $25,000 if Hawkman can stop them from sabotaging his delivery system -- and twice that if Will can come with to observe the entire effort and report on it.
As Hourman, Rex shows up at the Wonders Expedition and gets shown around by Arthur Wonders. Arthur explains that the nearby villa is private property and the expedition has not been able to gain permission to dig on its property, even though Arthur would like to.
Sandman meets with Charlie Johns, who promises to lead Sandman to Mu Kuang. They take an underground passage from the temple, but the passage is trapped and Charlie turns out to be Mu Kuang in disguise. Sandman beats the traps, captures Mu Kuang, and turns him in for the $10,000 reward.
At the end of August, the totals collected are:
Atom - $0 Flash - $10,000 Green Lantern - $50,000 Hawkman - $12,000 Hourman - $0 Johnny - $5,000 Sandman - $15,000

Day 7: September 1, 1941
Deciding to go for broke, Atom and Johnny approach the National Broadcasting Company offices at 30 Rockefeller Center, hoping for a big endorsement. The bigwigs at NBC are excited by the idea of promoting the charity and say the Heroes will be given carte blanche at WABC. They test Atom and Johnny at WABC and, like WXYZ did, like Atom's radio voice. He's going to be featured on "America's Town Meeting of the Air" to promote the charity, and talks begin immediately of working plugs for the charity into scripts for "Fibber McGee & Molly" and "Amos N' Andy". They try to find stuff for Johnny to do, but it's clear they're more interested in the Atom.
Flash continues to investigate his side case and finds evidence that Roy Revenge is D.A. Kelly's real son.
Green Lantern, confident that he's halfway to his goal in the first week, takes a day off.
Hawkman patrols, looking for the newspaper saboteurs, but fails to catch them in the act, despite them sabotaging a lot of deliveries.
Hourman decides to investigate the lonely villa by the dig site and discovers that a small group of Mexican soldiers are coming to meet with the hoodlums hiding out there. Hourman overhears the hoodlums and soldiers talking about buried loot on this property but, just before the two parties can have a falling out, they discover Hourman and a fight ensues. Despite the Mexican capitan having a grenade, Hourman is able to win the day single-handed.
Sandman meets with Atom and Johnny to help script radio ads promoting the superhero date auction and the superhero boxing matches for the charity. They decide the auction will be on September 8th (Monday) and the matches will be on September 16th (Tuesday).
The charity has, so far, collected $42 in anonymous donations.

Day 8: September 2, 1941
Atom records a live interview for America's Town Meeting of the Air.
Flash finally tracks down Roy Revenge, still on the run, and shows him the evidence of who his real father is. Roy reveals that Joe Connor, now horribly scarred from escaping from jail in a lye barrel, has gone unhinged, is calling himself The Threat, and plans to blow up the train D.A. Kelly will be riding tomorrow.
Green Lantern asks his magic lamp to explain to him how to scribe magic scrolls. Alan learns how, then goes out to start buying the rare supplies he'll need.
Hawkman patrols, and fails again to catch the newspaper saboteurs.
Hourman explains the situation to Arthur Wonders, having deduced that the Aztec treasure he seeks is buried under the hoodlums' property, and these rogue Mexican soldiers knew about it. Hourman sticks around while Wonders asks the city for permission to dig on the property, and begins to negotiate how large a share of the proceeds from selling the treasure to museums will go to the orphans' charity.
Johnny, perhaps a little envious of the Atom's success, goes on to WNYC alone and pitches the charity to them. He accidentally winds up insulting someone and gets tossed out.
Sandman takes a day off to tend to his businesses.
