I miss Grognardia, because James always had a nice insight and liked looking at old stuff from the good old days. He also did a review of H&H. grognardia.blogspot.com/2011/02/review-hideouts-hoodlums.htmlHis biggest complaint seemed to be "presentation", which I actually consider to be one of its strengths. I like the "looks like it came off of a typewriter" feel, which is part of what draws me to the OD&D brown books over many newer slick RPGs.

I was strongly encouraged by someone (I forget who, unfortunately) to submit review copies of H&H to James because of the popularity of his blog. He not only wrote me a pretty-much glowing review, but what really impressed me was how much he got what I was trying to do, considering James (as far as I know) isn't a comic book reader or fan.

Ah, how I had high hopes for that one! It was, perhaps, too ambitious a scenario for a play-by-message board campaign and it fizzled out. Otherwise, I'd still be running it today! Other examples, which I feel went better (both campaigns were merged to become the "Classic Adventures" campaign): Hideouts & Hoodlums on RpolH&H: Justice Society of America (the first time I ran a H&H campaign with the JSA!)

A new H&H fan who's active on the Facebook group is William Henry Caddell, and he's designed what is, finally, the very first form-fillable H&H Hero record sheet! If you don't want to head over to Facebook to secure it, I've loaded it onto the H&H website here - scottenkainen.wixsite.com/great-scott-press/resources
