"Of course..." Golden Boy said. He looked around for something like a wooden board, or a metal pole, that he could bend or break with his enhanced strength. If they actually had nothing prepared for him to demonstrate on, he would have to sheepishly request it.
Then, Golden Boy exhaled, took a deep breath, and... ((roll for wrecking things!))

And so Golden Boy was shown to the training course where his abilities would be tested. The first test was to see if he could force his way through a sealed doorway. He easily ripped through the thin metal. In the second test, he was instructed to destroy a "doomsday" machine before it could be activated. He looked at it thoughtfully for a few seconds while the timer clicked down toward zero. Then he picked a vulnerable spot on the device and decisively punched into it, shattering its fragile innards with one punch. (18 on the wrecking roll). However he proved unable to disable a mock up of a starship engine, but he did damage it by using his magnesium transformation form to ignite the fuel inside it, causing it to overburn and shut down from excess heat. (the roll was one short of the Wreck target. I'd allow a temporary disable for that roll, and another attempt, in a crucial situation) The Sparring Bot, joking called "Robot Boy" by the Pantheon members (the design drawn for the Sparring Bot greatly resembles the character design that would be used for Robot Boy in future issues, indeed fans have speculated that the self aware Robot Boy may have started as the Sparring Bot and evolved through repeated confrontations and conflict scenarios) , proved to be a tough test. It resisted both a brute force wrecking attempt and a fiery attack. In the end, Golden Boy defeated "Robot Boy" in a hard fought hand to hand battle that left one of them in need of reassembly and the other with dings and dents that would be equivalent to severe bruises in a normal human. (several rounds of standard hand to hand combat with Golden Boy emerging the winner with a couple of hit points left--stunning damage, not lethal). For the final test, Golden Boy was confronted with a full sized mock up of an alien space fighter. Standing on top of the gleaming thing, with its arrays of missile launchers and beam weapon antennae, he put his hands on his hips and shouted, "You're kidding, right?" He could barely scratch the paint on the terrible engine of destruction Laughing Boy laughed, to the surprise of no one. Brain Boy noted that Golden Boy's power was flexible and with the right training, he might be able to assume a multitude of alloys with varying specific abilities.
In the end, the vote by the Pantheon members was unanimous. Golden Boy was the newest inductee to the Pantheon!

"Thank you...everyone...Ooo! I'm exhausted! I'll just...lie down over here...for a bit..." Golden Boy hoped to see who else was inducted, but he was feeling pretty weak and dehydrated after all that exertion.
Golden Boy recalled the robot who showed up at tryouts and then left. Would the robot have been willing to fight the sparring bot? The thought amused him.
He did not want to go far; he assumed there would be some induction ceremony after the tryouts and he did not want to miss being a part of it.
