The Leading Man said, "Unless that car of yers is a secret spaceship, yer gonna have trouble driving it up that trail we just traversed, Sheriff Alien. Let's take up hiding places and wait 'n' see if they come out soon. If we end up waitin' too long, we can charge in there like fools."

[Since the consensus was stealth before we could resolve our conversation from last night, for simplicity sake I will allow Gorlock to be railroaded.]
Gorlock will nod in agreement with the others and approach on foot.

It was a relief to leave the cold cars and get moving again, just to get the circulation pumping.
After some off-road hiking, they found the cave entrance looking much as it was before. It looked dark inside, but not *as* dark. And loud voices could be heard echoing from inside.
The cave mouth was 10' wide and 8' high, opening into a rough tunnel that sloped unevenly downward. After 50', they could see it widened into the first cave-room. The noise of people did not seem to be coming from the first room, but deeper inside. Unfortunately, after five minutes of people shouting at each other (the words "Where?" and "No, back" were distinctly heard), the voices moved deeper into the room complex.

Gorlock will assume 2nd in rank, completely in natural form. He will not opt for the silly human weapons for the moment.

For those first 50', the tunnel looked like it could have been natural. At that point, though, it became a worked room, 20' x 20'. The floor and ceiling were level. The walls were smooth and the wall to the left (north) was curved outwards. There were faded figures painted on the curved wall under a hole maybe 6" in diameter that daylight filtered through. There was also a wooden bench here. The tunnel continued on the opposite side of this room.
The Leading Man knew the figures were crude paintings of abstract, sideways-facing men in a line moving from left to right, in the same direction the tunnel was going. Mixed in with the men, though, were other men -- strange, green men with lizard-like faces and tails.
The paint was faded and worn. The stone they were on appeared to have long ago been chiseled out of the living rock and then worn down by age, and then painted on.
The holes in the wall were right above the figures. The hole bore through 10' of solid rock to the outside, serving as a barely observable peephole to the north side of the mountaintop.
Moving on down the tunnel, they found it only proceeded about 20' further before opening into another room of the same size and shape.
This room was different in that it had an unfinished floor, or a floor that worn down by water, for there was a depression in the south half of the room almost 10' in diameter, filled with water covered in green scum. Sitting next to the pool was a rotted wooden box that The Cabalist had fished out of the pool.
The dead lampreys were missing.
There was a continuance of the tunnel on the far end, and another spy hole to the outside.
The third room was much like the first two, but with an even higher ratio of lizard men to Indians painted on the wall, no bench, and no box in a puddle.
The door to the south was old, warped wood, bound in bronze, with three bronze bars inserted in the frame to block the door from opening.
The far door was stone, but broken through by The Leading Man and Captain Avenger. Standing in the doorway, facing away from you, was one of the mobsters you fought earlier, shining a flashlight into the fourth room. "Are you guys done packing, or what?" he was saying.
((surprise: 2 vs. 4. Good guys have surprise.))

Gorlock throws a cola bottle at the back of the mobster's head!
"Don't forget to pack this, hoo-man scum!"
Also, does he recognize the pictures on the walls as any other alien race his people had encountered before?

"Yeah, get your packing done, you'll need it for your prison cell", yelled Captain Avenger who then took cover and proceeded to fire.

The passage between the second and third rooms afforded little cover for Captain Avenger, so he just flattened himself against the wall.
The tentacled horror that was Gorlock threw a cola bottle, but it was a hasty throw and hit the far wall, wide from its mark.
Captain Avenger's aim was off as well, perhaps from the pain of his still unhealed injuries.
The Leading Man could not get in there right away with all these missiles flying. It gave the hoodlum time to turn around and face them. The Leading Man was almost in his face now, three inches away from being able to get that punch in.
((Gorlock's to hit: 2+1, Captain's to hit: 7, The Leading Man's to hit: 7+1. Surprise turn is lost. Intentions for the first regular turn of combat? Missile weapons will now put The Leading Man in potential harm's way.))

"Hold your bolt throwing, Captain! I intend on showing these blachtards a tentacle slap or 14 for their insolence! Bleven! Wake up and be productive, you shine ill on your parentage with inaction!"
Gorlock ran at alien speed to the fray, tentacles flailing with irradiated power!!!

The Leading Man's electric muscles twitched and swayed as he looked for an opening to punch the mook in front of him.
