Hourman not feeling great but needs to press on . To intimidate he activates " raise the car" the last power and tries to use the steamer truck as a club and slam the uninjured one using the trunk as a baseball bat. This will hopefully cause the seriously injured one to surrender

Captain Desmo and Hour-Man (and Hawkgirl) Appleton City Flatiron District Bentley House 2:21 am (hour of power ends at 2:53 am)
During the battle for the basement, Hour-Man had been maneuvering closer to the steamer trunk so he could lift it and use it as a bludgeoning weapon, but as soon as he lifted it the crowbar struck him again ((3 dmg, reduced from 5)). Hour-Man followed up with a glancing blow from the steamer trunk ((2 dmg)) that left Thug #2 lightly injured and steamed (the thugs had switched weapons while Hour-Man was picking up the steamer trunk, so #2 has the crowbar now).
Thug #1 was seeing the writing on the wall and stumbled towards the exit. "C'mon, he's too much!" he yelped.
Thug #2, though, wasn't having it. "No, I got 'em on the ropes!" he countered. And he wasn't entirely wrong. While keeping Hour-Man off-balance, the thug managed to land another glancing hit, and they were doing cumulative harm ((3 more dmg)).
Meanwhile...
Captain Desmo checked the next box and found correspondence - no, love letters, dating back to the 1910s! Perhaps before becoming a hardened criminal, George Bentley had been quite the romantic.
Captain Desmo checked the next box- and triggered a trap! The floor dropped away, 7' over a hard porcelain tub, but Captain Desmo had heard the 'click' of the trapdoor in the time and was already moving off of it when it happened. He had to roll away into the insulation, but he kept from falling.

Captain Desmo dusted himself and tried to calm his nerves. He checked if there was any box left to check. If there is nothing left, he moved on from box searching to the other door in the attack and listened at it. If there was no sound, he opened is slowly.

Captain Desmo and Hour-Man (and Hawkgirl) Appleton City Flatiron District Bentley House 2:23 am (hour of power ends at 2:53 am)
Captain Desmo read more from the boxes. There was a diary, of Mary Bentley. The later entries, at a glance, are largely concerned with infidelity, and fear for her own safety...
Meanwhile...
In the basement, the thug took a swing with that crowbar at Hour-Man and Hour-Man easily blocked it. He had been instinctively dodging too much, instead of relying on his hardened forearms to block. Now Hour-Man threw the trunk at the injured thug who had backed out of melee, knocking him to the floor, unconscious ((3 dmg)). He then grabbed the crowbar and bent it in half. The remaining thug, shocked, dropped the crowbar and tried to run for the exit. Hour-Man was easily able to out-pace him, getting to the door before him.
"Look, don't take it out on me!" the thug cried. "I'm just paid to do this! But it ain't worth it to mess with you!"

"Sounds like a low down creep," said Desmo shaking his head about the thug Mr. Bentley. Desmo decided he would next go straight for the extra door in the attic and see where it led.

Hourman proceeds to order the thug to surrender and if the thug refuses he knocks him out. Hourman proceeds to tie up the thug. He then takes his time to use a first aid kit to patch up his wounds

Captain Desmo and Hour-Man (and Hawkgirl) Appleton City Flatiron District Bentley House 2:25 am (hour of power ends at 2:53 am)
The thug didn't want to fight anymore and agreed to be tied up. Hour-Man conveniently found a coil of rope in the corner of the room and used that.
((Does Hour-Man carry a first aid kit on him? And how? Or is he returning to his car for the first aid kit?))
Meanwhile...
Captain Desmo got up and went to the door, still being careful to walk on wooden crossbeams that looked safe. He noticed there was a stout wooden stick leaning against the wall next to the door. The door seemed to be stuck and he had to force it open. When he did - a woman in a long white dress descended out of the air towards him! ((intentions?))

Desmo had a strange feeling that this was no ordinary woman, and grabbed the wooden stick and backed away toward to exit keeping his eyes on the lady. "I mean you no harm," said Desmo. "But I'm here to help put an end to the gang of hoodlums in this home."

Captain Desmo and Hour-Man (and Hawkgirl) Appleton City Flatiron District Bentley House 2:30 am (hour of power ends at 2:53 am)
Captain Desmo stumbled backwards, almost missing the wooden crossbeams and stepping into the insulation, as he addressed the flying woman. Or rather...the flying mannequin...on wires.
George Bentley had, apparently, at one time taken out his frustration with his wife on a life-sized pinata in this secret room. This small room seemed to serve no other purpose and contained nothing else, other than the machinery rigged to the door to swing the mannequin's strings when it was opened.
Captain Desmo had finished inspecting the small room when Hour-Man, having bound and searched his prisoners minutes ago, poked his head up into the attic, looking for him.
Hour-Man had found nothing particularly useful in the thugs' pockets, having only $10 between them.

HOurman says, " found anything useful? I had two more run ins with a couple of bruisers in the basement. Definitely going to get some first aid soon. "

"I had a run in with that... mannequin. Thought is was a real ghost! Well, other than finding out that George Bentley hated his wife to the point of wanting to kill her," said Desmo. "I still don't know what our key does, and I didn't get to check the second floor yet."
"I guess we better get you fixed up right away, and get the ambulances and police over here, " continued Desmo. "We better get packing. We can get in here for a look again if we need to."

Hourman comments, " let's take one more look on the second floor. I still have my enhanced abilities left to move quickly. Should we keep the key or turn it over?"
Once Desmo responds, Hourman will do a quick search on the 2nd floor

Captain Desmo and Hour-Man (and Hawkgirl) Appleton City Flatiron District Bentley House 2:35 am (hour of power ends at 2:53 am)
Hour-Man toured the second floor, but found nothing of value or great interest there ((we're getting "late" in the page count for this scenario, so we're glossing over some details)).
Captain Desmo called the operator and asked for the police and an ambulance. They would likely be here in a matter of minutes.
Captain Desmo helped Hawkgirl escort their prisoners to the entrance to await the police. "We're good here?" she asked.
Hour-Man headed outside to his car and fetched his first aid kit and began applying it for himself.
The entire ground floor and some of the third floor went unsearched. Hour-Man mentioned to no one about the steamer trunk in the basement that two thugs had been hired to guard.
