All of our heroes wake up and are refreshed. Arrowhead who woke early makes some fresh coffee and has fresh donuts and you all reflect what happened the night before. Arrowhead and Agent echo both feel like their powers were awakened last night and they both seem to have new abilities

"Ohhh...where am I?" the Web said. He looked around and saw his mask lying on the arm of the chair he had slept in. He realized he had been so exhausted last night that he crashed here at Charlie's place -- and revealed his identity as John Raymond!

Charlie was inspecting the Luger. He had unscrewed the silencer. "This thing works just like a muffler on a car or motorcycle," He thought, wondering at the simplicity of the thing. The Krauts were jerks, but they made nice hardware.
"So Gents, what's out next course of action? Should we try to locate the mastermind of this little group?"

The Agent of Sound was silent for a long while, "We need to rest, but let's see what's on the news/radio first."
If we can get a newspaper I'd like to add that to our information.

turning the radio on the jockey talks about the weather, the baseball game and the war. After a few minutes the jockey says, " in other news in Beverly hills, robbers broke into Sak's department store. The robbers accidentally started a fire but the fire was put out instantly by the police. Nothing was taken and the police only told this station that no one was seriously hurt. " When Arrowhead goes outside and gets his local paper the story about Sak''s is in the paper. The paper pretty much covers what was said during the radio broadcast. One difference is that the reporter indicated that G_men were on site as well.

"What? Let me see that?" The Web said as soon as he heard about the paper. "Impossible -- there's no way that the janitors were not questioned, and they would have mentioned us for sure. Someone at the paper is covering up our involvement. But why?
The Web, his costume still in tatters, slumped back into a chair. "We have a wealth of mysteries to solve, my friends.
"Where did the Dollmaker go, and are there more spies working with him?
"We have a name to investigate related to the Chinese Tong. Have we shut them down, or are they still operational?
"Three mysteries, and three of us. Or are there more questions I'm forgetting? My head hurts so much, it's hard to think..."

As Arrowhead and Agent Echo were thinking about it, The Web added, "Clearly, we're in no shape to pursue them now. We need some downtime. I'm going to have to call in sick to work in a minute, and then I thought I would go home to rest. We can meet up again in..."
((How much downtime do people want? We can be back up to full hp in 1-4 days.))

"Three days and I think I'll be back in fighting shape."

"Then three days -- or let's say three nights from now -- we meet back at your garage. Now, if it's all right with you, I'd like to borrow your phone. I need to call in before it gets any later."
"...Yes, Sally? Yes, it's Professor Raymond. I *cough cough* thought I was well enough to make it in to work today, but woke up feeling something awful this morning. No, just have someone post a note on my classroom that class is canceled this morning with my home phone number. Some of them might need to call me about the project I assigned. Thank you..."

Each of you finish your coffee and donuts and head back to your own homes. The next three days pass by uneventfully the rest and relaxation has been nice. Each of you do you normal daily activities. The news has been quiet other then the talk of the war, local sporting news and some minor cases of crimes. No connection to your cases. One interesting note is that on your way to jobs one of you passes by the Doll-maker store and notices that there is a closed sign on the store.
( if there is any specific not routine daily activities let me know. I saw Agent echos goals)
Also each of you are now at full HP

Around 4 o'clock that same day, John got a call from his star pupil, Rose.
"Professor Raymond, how are you feeling?"
"I'm a little out of it still," John responded, not inaccurately. "Can I--"
"I'll be right over."
"I--"
Twenty minutes later, the doorbell rang. As soon as John answered the door, Rose came rushing in past him.
"Where is the kitchen?" she asked.
"Excuse me?"
"Professor, you're a man living alone. You can't be expected to cook for yourself in your condition. You need someone to make you some soup."
"And what do you know of my condition?"
"It must be something frightfully serious. You've never missed a class." She said this from the kitchen, as she had just found it.
"Not that you know of," John said, resigning himself to having a house guest and returning to his living room chair.
"No, not ever. I checked on that with the administrative office."
As usual, John was impressed with her investigative skills.

Rose goes into the kitchen and looks through his refrigeration. In about an hour to an hour and a half, John is now eating homemade chicken soup. The soup is excellent, the seasoning on point. Rose makes small talk but does keep asking if John needs anything.

Later that evening, long after Rose was gone, John was sitting and reading a good book. He paused to think how good that soup was but, goodness, 90 minutes to prepare soup? Rose was going to make a husband very happy someday, just as soon as she learned to make soup faster, he thought with a chuckle, then went back to his book...
John had no classes the next day, but he did have office hours from 10-4. Having missed class yesterday, he had more students than usual show up to ask questions. Rose was there, acting as a sort of coordinator; she wrote down who was showing up and when, found out what they were asking about, and then prioritized who she would send in from shortest problem to longest.
He was hoping that his students would be attentive enough about the news to bring up the "attempted robbery" at Sak's, and was rewarded when the last two students, Jerry and Eric, asked about it. Their interest, however, was entirely focused on the mention of federal agents on the scene.
"What was that about?" Jerry asked first. "Were the robbers wanted for crimes in other states? And if so, why did no paper mention that?"
"It's a curious situation, to be sure," John said. "I think it's telling what the newspapers didn't tell us about what happened. I may speak about it in class tomorrow..."
When 4 o'clock rolled around, everyone was gone but Rose. "What was telling for me was, there was no mention of our city's mysterymen in the papers," she said.
"Why do you think they were involved?"
"Amateur thieves don't accidentally start fires, and the FBI doesn't pursue amateur thieves. So I'm thinking our mysterymen must have been there, intervened, and that's when the fire started?"
"Hmm..." John mused, more impressed than ever. "Don't mention that until I'm at least halfway through my lecture tomorrow...but I think you might be right."

Charlie watched his two companions leave. He spent a few minuted tidying up his shop, throwing away coffee grounds and the donut box. He spied the luger on his table. He made sure it was unloaded and stowed empty pistol, full magazine and silencer in a locked drawer in his big toolbox. The one that didn't leave the shop.
There was a 1935 Indian 4 that needed some transmission work. Charlie got to it and it turned out to be a quick job. He called the customer, an aeronautical engineer from the valley. He promised to pay and pick the bike up tomorrow. Charlie decided that was enough work for today. Time to head to the Legion Hall to catch up with Jimmy. Maybe the bartender had heard something about the ruckus at Sak's.

Agent echo leaves and finds his way back to the doctors apartment. The doctor is home and seeing the injuries treats echo. The doctor tells him that to help around the house and if he is interested his doctor office needs a maintenance person if he would like the job.
Rose smiles and agrees to professor's Johns request ( OOC: does the Web or the others have publicity yet)
Charlie makes the repairs and heads to the legion hall. Jimmy is on duty and after some small talks says he saw the news cast of the Sak's jewelry store. Jimmy also heard from a contact that not only were the GI men there but a representative from the Army was there as well. Jimmy thinks this might be a US intelligence officer. Jimmy thinks that there might be some espionage
